Sage TCR Fly Rod Blanks
The fly rod as pure concept.
That's the thinking behind Sage's new, limited series Technical Casting
Rods (TCR). It all started as a design exercise to find out just how far
we could push the boundaries of fast-action tapers and high line speed,
while maintaining a rod's all-important fishability. The result of this
R & D was a series of prototypes that became so popular at Sage,
they
felt compelled to offer them to their customers.
To be clear, these rods are not for the casual angler. The TCR Series is
designed for skilled casters facing the most demanding conditions—long
shots at spooky bones, waking dries into distant steelhead lies, or
punching hoppers into the wind on big Western trout rivers. Basically,
any situation where technical precision, distance and the ability to cut
through wind are at a premium, the TCR will give you the advantage you
